Honoring The Real ‘You’ – the art of living from center

Do you feel that somehow, somewhere along the line, your life has taken charge of you – instead of the other way around?

Many of us are trying so hard to be who we think we should be, and do what we think we should do that we forget who we really are.   What we would like to be doing, what would give our life meaning and what would make us happy becomes less important than doing all that Has To Be Done.  We live by the demands of our do-lists.  We’re not in charge of our lives –  our lives are in charge of us.

As a Life Coach with many years of experience – I can tell you that all the scheduling, prioritizing, planning and determination in the world won’t enable you take control of your life.

The only way to take charge of your life is to take charge of yourSelf.

And by yourSelf  I mean the the ‘Real You’  – the ‘You’ who somehow got lost and buried under the endless demands, clutter and chaos of daily life in our crazy world.  This ‘You’ knows who you are, and what you want, and what things would bring you happiness and fulfillment.  And this ‘You’ is readily available, when you know how to reach it.

For me, finding the real ‘You’  begins the coaching process.  And it starts by getting centered and asking some pretty basic questions: who am I really?  What do I want? What is my purpose and passion?  The answers to these questions empower you to take the steps you need to take – to take charge.

And helping you take charge of your life – in whatever ways are meaningful to you – is life coaching.

  • Clear out all those ideas about who you should be and how you should be living that only wear you down and keep you from your power and creativity.
  • Learn ways to bring the power of the ‘Real You’ into every part of you life.
  • Create strategies and plans that honor your deepest needs and aspirations, and enable you fulfill them.
  • Set goals that align your ability, focus, and creativity with your goals.

Taking charge of your life doesn’t mean you’ll be doing away with your to-do lists.  It doesn’t mean there won’t be times you’re overwhelmed by all there is to do.

Taking charge means honoring the real ‘You.’   It means putting your happiness and well being at the top of your priorities.  It means that you are living your live in a way that makes sense to you, and gives you the greatest satisfaction.
